Look at my cute lil’
General Hux Huxband Funko Pop figure! Isn’t he the cutest?! He’s one of the many things I picked up at SDCC this year.
So, I finally made a haul video to show off all the awesome stuff I picked up at SDCC. I’ve actually made a few over the last couple years, but never ever got around to actually publishing them. And even though I’ve made a few vlogs already, it’s quite odd because it’s like I’m just talking to myself. And then editing? Uugggh… listening and watching myself talk so much is w-e-i-r-d. WEIRD.
Anywho, you can watch the video down below:
Do you vlog too? Let me know how you get through it! And if you also went to SDCC, I’d love to hear about some of the cool things you picked up too 😀
Hey my little ponies! I took an unexpected break from blogging just to recharge a bit. I finished dog grooming school a few weeks ago, but since July is kind of jam-packed (hey, San Diego Comic-Con!), I can’t quite go job hunting just yet. My family reunion also took place not too long ago, and I’ve been bestowed the great honor of being my sister’s maid of honor at her wedding next April! So… yeah. That’s what’s been going on in my life as of late.
But anywho… as you may know, I am OBSESSED with Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical Hamilton. It’s like my new *NSYNC. I follow some of the cast members on Snapchat and Twitter, I constantly look up YouTube videos. I am Hamiltrash. This musical has made me care about the dude on the ten dollar bill more than I ever thought I would. Like, I have a stupid school girl crush on Alexander Hamilton. That’s how bad it’s gotten!
Today marks the 212th anniversary of Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton’s infamous duel that took place in Weehawkeen, NJ. Naturally, I have an outfit for the [somber] occasion! SPOILER ALERT: Burr f*cking shot Hamilton, and he died the next day. 😦
Last month I scrolled through RedBubble to see what kind of Hamilton t-shirt designs were available. ‘Cause you know once you fangirl hardcore about something, you need apparel to express how much you love it! This tee with a vintage boxing motif popped up and I knew that I had to have it 😀
If you’re still one of those people that haven’t immersed themselves in Hamilmania (WTF are you waiting for?!), watch their performance from last month’s Tony Awards here:
t-shirt: RedBubble (buy here) | dress: Hot Topic (n/a – check your local HT!)

Last month I officially became Hamiltrash; I’ve been listening to the Hamilton soundtrack non-stop (ha, puns!) since I picked it up. I realize that I’m super late to the party, but daaaaammmn, do I understand what the hype with this musical is all about! And I’m totally kicking myself for not checking it out sooner. Hamilton is a work of sheer genius. Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator and star of the musical, did such an outstanding job of blending hip-hop, r&b, and Beatles-esque music to tell the tale of Alexander Hamilton, a.k.a. the dude on the $10 bill, or as the musical refers to him “the ten dollar founding father.” The soundtrack both entertains and educates, and I love the fact that the cast is racially diverse; as Lin-Manuel Miranda puts it, it’s the story of America then told by America now. <– pretty sure I paraphrased it, but he said something along those lines.
Leave it to me to put together an outfit inspired by King George III, who’s portrayed by Jonathan Groff, though. Ha! His part in the show is quite small (probably around 9 minutes of stage time total), but “You’ll Be Back” is currently my jam! This is where the Beatles influence can be heard in the show, and it’s basically a kiss-off/break-up song that he sings to America. I adore how cheeky King George III is, and Groffsauce sings it with such flourish and gusto 😀
Who else thinks Hamilton is awesome (wow)? Let’s fangirl in the comments section!
