If you want to officially show that you’re part of the coolest gang in the ‘verse, Geek Girl Gang has got you covered!
Geek Girl Gang was founded by fellow geeky blogger/fashionista Meli earlier this year, first starting off with a set of limited edition buttons, and more recently just launched a line of t-shirts! When I first saw the announcement on Instagram, my initial reaction was “MY BODY IS READY.” So when Meli messaged me and asked if I’d like to style one of the tees for my blog, I was beyond thrilled and more than willing 😀
There are currently three different designs to choose from that are simplistic and hella cute to boot! I love that you can pair them with virtually anything and make it chic, casual, or somewhere in between. The designs are all printed on cozy American Apparel unisex tees, so it’s best to go a size down from what you’d normally wear (Meli told me that’s what her and the models did). I wasn’t too sure at first since I wear a women’s XL or XXL depending on the brand, and usually wear a men’s M or L. I just compared the sizing chart on Geek Girl Gang’s webstore to the measurements of a women’s XXL tee and picked L since it was the closest. When you go on Geek Girl Gang’s webstore, you’ll see the pics of the models say what size they’re wearing and what their bust and waist size is, which you will most likely find very helpful if you don’t make things more complicated than they need to be like myself. Ha! And BTW, the L fits just the way I like it!
The black and gold Geek Girl Gang tee is my favorite of the three — it’s so O.G. Or O.G.G. (Original Geek Girl… ha! Get it? OMG. Okay, I’ll stop). The R in “girl” also has a little heart in it which is such a darling touch! Please excuse the fact that my hair is covering said detail in all my pics.
My standard uniform is always a dress/belt combo or a tee/skirt/belt combo (often with a cardigan or some form of outerwear), so I paired my Geek Girl Gang tee with my Her Universe Star Wars skirt from Disneyland that features a bunch of baddies from the Dark Side, and my Admiral Ackbar locket by Rockets and Rainbows (Jennifer Landa‘s Etsy store) to dress it up a little and play off the gold lettering. Plus it’s Admiral Ackbar! My love for him is indescribable and knows no bounds. And of course, I threw in my beloved bowler hat because I’m obsessed with it.
I think that the simplicity in the design of the tee makes it so easy to incorporate accessories from your favorite fandoms to further show off your Geek Girl Gang cred. I’m excited to come up with different ways to style it and think of other fandom based outfits!
